The Miss Lilly Story
Miss Lilly's StoryWelcome to Miss Lilly's Trading Company!Bebe Flynn has been baking cookies and brownies for as long as she can remember. Already immensely popular among her friends, her recipe for chocolate chip cookies was passed down through her family and made with love and warmth in Bebe’s Hancock Park kitchen. Over time, Bebe experimented with new ingredients and perfected several cookies that now feature her special embellishments: hand-chopped pecans; sweet, dried cranberries; Belgian chocolate, and rolled oats. In 2009, Bebe founded Miss Lilly’s – named after her little rescue dog – to combine her passion for baking these delicious treats with an important cause. Miss Lilly's started because Bebe was so inspired by an experience volunteering with Meals on Wheels. After spending a day delivering food to those in need, she learned that 80% of seniors who own pets share their meals with them because they can't afford pet food. Often, they give the food to their pets before feeding themselves. Of course, this can lead to all sorts of health problems for both the owner and the pet. Bebe left Meals on Wheels that day, determined to help make a difference. Already a successful entrepreneur (Bebe helped build cutting-edge Tcho Chocolate and owns an eponymous full-service casting company), she made a batch of her scrumptious chocolate chip cookies and brownies, and marched into her local Whole Foods. Before she knew it, she was taste testing with a team of their decision-makers and explaining her business concept. Whole Foods loved the baked goods and the company concept and Miss Lilly's was on its way. Miss Lilly’s has since formalized a relationship with St. Vincent Meals on Wheels in Los Angeles, and the designated proceeds from cookie sales will provide seniors in need with food for their pets. Miss Lilly’s Cookies are available online, in Whole Foods in Los Angeles, and at Larchmont Wine & Cheese. Our retailer list is growing every day. Thanks so much for your interest!
